BALI BOGA is Up and Running....

Bali Boga Facebook Site:
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Jakarta/BALI-BOGA/53152201233

After lots of thinking, looking around, and another lots of thinking, we have finally decided to open our first food counter at Mall of Indonesia (MOI), Kelapa Gading Square. Our new restaurant will be named BALI BOGA, which in Indonesian language means Balinese Cuisine/ Food.

Bali Boga will specialized itself in delivering to its customers an authentic Balinese cuisine, packed in a set menu and express serving. The menu itself has been pre-selected so that it will not requires a long making and waiting time; therefore while keeping the freshness of its spices, it also can deliver it in quick time.
As for starter, we have prepared 4 sets of menus, with each set will consists of around 3-4 selected cuisines. And all of those menu sets' ingredients will be directly imported from Bali for the originality.

We have also asked our friend to design a logo for us, and he really has made a wonderful matching logo just as what we've expected. Thanks Ichwan!

New Trip... New Experiences...

Couple of days ago, we had a brief 3 days tour here in Japan that was really interesting.

At the first day, we went to Hiroshima, where we went to Peace Memorial Park & Peace Memorial Museum there.

It was the first time there I saw the true horror of the nuclear bom's impact on a city and a human...such a terrible disaster... :(

Afterwards, we continued to Miyajima Island to see the beautiful Itsukushima shrine.

There, we had to wait until evening since the view were really spectacular during the evening & night due to the illumination of the shrine itself.

At Miyajima Hotel, we had a traditional Japanese dinner where everything were set & arranged traditionally. Japanese do use many tools and table set, in case of serving their guest... They tend to separate each food's combinations in different set of plates...

But hey, everythings looks great though... and it looks really neat too... :)
After dinner, we had some walk outside the hotel, and took some pictures... (You can see at my Picasa Web Album for the details).

At night, I also tried a Japanese bath/ spa called onsen....it was such a new experience for me...hehe..
Since it was the first time, I had to wait outside for several minutes until a new guest came in, and after that, I just need to observe what he do next....simple... :)

To my surprise though, that inside the change room, we need to loose all of our clothes before entering the shower room and the onsen room itself. There were basket with a number all over the place where we can put all of our clothes on it.
The Japanese guest that came before me strictly said that no clothes are allowed inside, and only small white towel (more like a face towel that being provided there) can be used inside...huh...
After cleaning, I went to the onsen room itself.... such a big area with a big hot pool on it.
The onsen room itself were separated into two section, the bigger and the smaller. In my case, the bigger pool has a small waterfall on it....beauty...
There were several guests on the pool... some were sleeping, while some were chatting (more to gossiping)..
Well, for me, it's still a 'weird' experience to be together and had a chat with several guys without wearing anything in the same pool... :)

The next day, we went to Kyushu with Shinkansen. It took about two hours for us to reach the Kokura station. One small bus has awaited outside, where we then went to Toyota Kyushu factory for a small visit there.

Toyota Kyushu factory was a very modern factory compared to many factories at my country. At Toyota Kyushu factory, robots and human have been able to work together in such a way that many of my friends said "if only in my place we have that...."... haha

At the last day, we went to Kyushu Electric Power Plant. Again, Japanese technologies have been able to 'mouthwatering' us.... It seemed that the Japanese were trying hard to minimize their oil and mineral consumption at the moment.... LNG, Atom, and renewable matters seemed to interest them in the case of power supply matters.

At afternoon, we went back to Osaka city to end our small trip... Glad to be home again... but the new experiences we brought back were really worthed it....

My Hobby....

Many of my friends have wondered what kind of hobby I like to do during my spare time....Well,.... I like photography A LOT!

I guess one of the reason why I like photography is because it is always fun & challenging to take some pictures without omitting the nuisance, feeling, and expression of the objects itself into one piece of picture taken by yourself.... Here, I learnt that all parameters such as surroundings, lightnings, object's expressions, your eyes, hands, fingers, and even your own mental conditions will be directly impact on how the results will be executed later on.

It is such a challenging and fun hobby, although sometimes can feel a bit expensive...hah.... But at the end, this hobby can surely bring some satisfaction to me....

Below are some sample of my pictures taken during various situations and areas. I appreciate if any of you can give some comments on it.

All pictures can be found on my Picasa Online Gallery at:

Trip to Bali with Ade....Yipee

Finally the time comes for us to have a holiday in Bali for 3 days...yohoo...

The beginning of the trip was not quite what we have expected... Our flight has been delayed for 3 hours!!!....and many of the passenger have already thrown their unhappiness to the ground crew... Our flight which supposed to be at 7pm is delayed until 10pm... Thank you Lion Air!!

But soon all of our stress finally paid soon after we landed at Ngurah Rai International Airport at Denpasar....
We couldn't wait to meet Ade's parents and... Have a wonderful dinner there...haha

Ade's parents welcomed us with a very warm smile... and it was actually the first time I met Ade's mother....
I've met her father some time ago during his visit to Jakarta, and to meet him again wasn't really an issue for me...

We had dinner together with a traditional Balinese cuisine and continued with chit and chat here and there until about 2.30 am in the morning....

Ade's parents kindly drove me home at about 3am, where I'm pretty sure everybody's in my house has already gone sleep.....Sorry guys...

The next morning, after I lend a car with one of my relatives, I drove straight to Ade's home...and again, we had a very good cuisine there again..... It was a very good time to get to know each other, especially with Ade's Dad, Mom, and little brother.....

After about 2pm, me & Ade planned to go out for a while, and to see Bali all around by car.....We went to Kuta area and went straight to Discovery Mall. The mall has a very big area for shopping, and what makes it different with other malls is that it has a location next to the Kuta beach...yeap...I didn't type it wrong... we actually have a huge mall next to the beach... From the second floor on the food court area, you could see ocean view there....really it was such a beautiful scene we had.....
_______

The next day (Saturday), Me & Ade went to my house in Klungkung, where we met my uncle, son in laws, and other family members... They all said positive things about Ade... and even one of them told me that I'm really lucky to have Ade who has such a beautiful face and positive attitude.... I think the green light has already been turned on now...and I'm soooo happy now.....

On Saturday night, we also went to Ade's uncle's house in Penatih.... and from what he told us, I think he has also gave a green light too on us....yipeee...

The next day (Sunday), we flew by the first flight available to Jakarta....It's such a pity that we had to ended our good holiday in bali....and yes, go back again to reality...

But I'm pretty happy now....all parties seem already know and say yes to our relationship.... I am now ready to take it to the next level... and I'm pretty sure (for sure) that that's the right thing to do for me now.....
We just wait and see for the next several months....

First Anniversary....25 March 2007

Today, 25 of March 2007 is our first anniversary. Yup...

Ade & I have been a couple for one year long now...and never in my life have I ever regretted it.

It's been such a wonderful year for me and her, and there were lots of things we have done and accomplished together...happy and sad, altogether broaden and matured our love every single day.

We first met on the parking lot of Indonesian University (UI) at Salemba about one and a half year ago.... and to tell myself the truth at that time, I was never expected such a beautiful girl like Ade would even dare to look at me as her boyfriend at the time.....even though I knew that I just got a 'love at a first glance' on her...

She seemed sooo 'bigheaded' or 'proud' or 'pretentious' or 'jutek' (Indonesian) at the time...without any single words came from her mouth... I remembered that for about 3 hours we went out together, she was probably just spoken less than ten words.... Bagga Me!

Well, it seemed that whatever I thought of her wasn't really matters at all... I know now that she's not like what I thought she was before.... I knew that she did that because she was just wanted to be protective with herself at that time...

Ade, my honey bunny baby... From the first time I met you I already knew that you're the one that God gave me to spend the rest of my life with.... I knew from the beginning that the woman who stand before me was the woman who has a soft, gentle, and caring personality... where that's about everything I can dreamed of to be my girlfriend and wife.....

My Honey Baby.... I want to let the world know that today, on our first anniversary, I want you to know that I LOVE YOU SOOO MUCH... more than you can imagine..... You've been so nice to me and nothing I can give you more except my unconditional love and care to my beloved one.....

May God always bless every single way we take together... and may everything comes as smooth as what we want to be.....

Happy Anniversary, my Honey Baby..... Love you forever and ever…

Newest Project

After about three weeks of long waiting, finally I got the news from my interior designer saying that the house is finally ready and very near to its completion.

I visited the site yesterday, and was suprisingly amazed on how different it looked compared than when it's still untouched. Not only the environment and the surrounding areas of the building is much cleaner now, but also all the electronic stuffs like proximity card entry and video phone systems are working perfectly now. Waterfalls at the swimming pools begin to show how beautiful the pools are now.

Cost wise, I have to admit that the amount of money that I spent is quite comparable to what I get now, especially to see that the development of the surrounding areas of our apartment is still going very rapidly. Later on, we can see a huge shopping mall (Mall of Indonesia) equipped with the venetian model of river and gondola standing just few metres from our apartment. And more importantly, there will be a Carrefour supermarket that will benefit us in term of saving our cost of living by selling relatively cheap basic stuff and ingredients for our daily use.
At the moment, the shopping mall is still on its early stage (second floor out of five floors), and expected to be completed in 2007.

Price wise, it even makes me happier to know that the apartment where I have now is increasing in terms of demand and price. There's about 60% of price increase of the apartment where I have now, and it's expected to continually rising in accordance to more facilities have and/or will be built in the surrounding areas. Well, it seemed like a bit of gambling to put your money in the project where it's not even started yet, but as soon as I know that the developers who did the project were the one with strong backgrounds, everything becomes clearer now that it is indeed a good site to put your investment or money in.

Well, enough of talking, let's go straight to the details of Kelapa Gading Square and my apartment (Gading Resort Residences):

It has about 800 units available overall, distributed to many towers. Each tower only has two units (which makes this very unique compares to any other apartment), that makes it as a semi town-house unit. Each tower has 2 lifts, and two-storey of parking spaces. Each tower, in the range of 8-15 floors will have their own security doors, and penthouse on each site. Every single unit will also face two kinds of sceneries: One is the swiming pool (which is located at the centre of the site), and the other is the scene of the city (which can be viewed from many different angles depend where your tower is heading). At the center of the complex, there is a guest house, where gym, meeting rooms, supermarkets, ATMs, ballroom are located. This is the main entrance for visitors and tenants to the outside world (beside from the carpark itself).

Well, that's it, folks....hope you enjoy the explanation...hehe
